Thursday. Pt2.
After being shocked all morning and having needles inserted into both arms to prod and poke my ulner, median and radial nerves - which fucking feels great by the way, sarcasm intended - the doctor has confirmed that, in fact, there is nerve damage to my ulner nerve.
But the doctor was not able to determine whether it is stemming from my wrist or elbow, though most likely the elbow.
Well ain’t that fucking dandy.
though, the only upside is that the lack of functionality, cramps and searing pain in my left hand are only partially related to the last residual MS relapse.
now its only related to some nerve damage - which occurred for some reason or another … ?
probably from work and sleeping with my arm as a pillow.
more reason to quit my ass-fuck of a job and start sleeping with a pillow.
* After conversing with my neurologist, she determined the damage was in the elbow, which probably occurred after ejecting, at speed, from my bike after avoiding a collision with an idiotic driver, and taking the roll on my left side (an attempt to preserve damage to my already MS affected right side)
she is optimistic it will heal itself, though its been 3 months now, so we might have to discuss surgery.
I sincerely hope not…
** after another follow up with my neurologist, a follow up EMG and consultation is required in May and will probably end in surgery. The hand has begun to atrophy and something is needed to be done in order to stave off any irreparable damage.
