the thing that really gets me about Vancouver, and especially Whistler
is that everywhere you go, is dog friendly
meaning that as I’m standing outside in the freezing cold waiting for a shuttle bus - to go to work, for a million hours, while everyone else sleeps or is falling asleep, drunk, high, with someone, or with many someone’s - I manage to find a female black shepherd to play with
she had a plastic bottle c
aside from the circumstances of being here temporarily, I feel more at home in this environment than I ever have in Toronto
maybe one day, I will live in BC.
and play with a shepherd in the mountains all day. every day.
Jet Just Attacked a Coyote
it was only when I was able to catch him
that I realised that the coyote had killed a badger and was trying to drag it into the bushes
Jet was simply defending his territory.
The coyote was the size of Jet, possibly a Coy-Wolf
I have never heard anything scream like that in my life.
when I went back outside, Jet was watching me through the window and like the fucking amazingly badass dog that he is, he was freaking the fuck out.
as if to say “D0NT GO OVER THERE !!!! DANGERRR !!!!!”
I thought he was going to go through the window, and if anything happened, I don’t doubt that he wouldn’t.
I feel sorry for anyone that would be dumb enough to try and break into the house when he is there… it would not be pretty.
I went back to the other side of the property, the Coyote was rustling in the bushes.
The badger was gone.
Max looked just like this
but bigger and more wolf-ish …
